Attorney Jeffrey A. Chip has been practicing law in Michigan since 1996. Mr. Chip obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University in 1990 and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1996 where he was awarded the Certificate of Merit for academic excellence and achievement in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Chip specializes in criminal, traffic and civil matters concerning international students. He understands the special needs faced by international students who are cited for traffic and/or criminal matters. Mr. Chip routinely represents students for all types of driving tickets, drinking and driving charges, and driving with license suspended charges. Mr. Chip has specialized in representing international students for 15 years and knows how to keep students out of jail and how to maintain a valid drivers license by eliminating points associated with traffic tickets.
Mr. Chip was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1996 and the Western District of Michigan Federal bar in 2003. He is a member of the Michigan Appellate Assigned Counsel System (MAACS), State Appellate Defenders Office (SADO), and Michigan Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA).
